Kaushik Das, popularly known as DJ ROOP, is a Software Engineer, Disc Jockey, Music Producer, Teacher & Student. He had started his DJing career on 2014. Currently he is based at Kolkata, India. He has played at few music festivals like Tomorrowland, Sunburn, etc. He has performed at many big cities, all around India. He has also secured top ranks in many DJ Wars all around India, and he has also judged few popular DJ Battles in India. He has performed in all kind of events like concerts, music festivals, night clubs, pubs, bars, private parties, public events, etc

Before being a DJ, Kaushik was a trained Indian classical singer. He had started his musical career at the age of 3. He can play few Indian instruments like Harmonium. He holds certificate till 1st year(Diploma) in Indian classical singing. He had also performed as a singer in his school events. He's a Computer Science Engineer(B.Tech) by Qualification. Currently he's working at a renowned IT company, gives DJing classes to underprivileged girls at a NGO & is also pursuing his M.Tech degree.
